Hi everyone! I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated this blog. Everything is going well down here at my new school. I’m teaching 3rd grade again. Here are some pictures of my recent trip to the Great Salt Lake in Utah. There were lots of beautiful salt formations. Please send me a message if you get a chance. I’d love to hear from you! I miss you!

I spent a week learning about wetlands and the Chesapeake Bay. I’ve posted a few pictures of the crabs we caught in a trap called a “crab pot”. We steamed them with some spices for dinner and they were delicious! If you get a chance, please leave me a comment below and let me know what you’ve been up to. I miss you guys!
Hi everyone! Happy New Year!
I went to Utah during winter break and wanted to share some photos with you guys!
I got a chance to see Spiral Jetty, a giant work of art that an artist named Robert Smithson created in the Great Salt Lake in 1970. He used a bunch of trucks to put tons of lava rock into the shape of a spiral at the edge of the very salty lake!
Here we are levitating over the salt flats.
When the water evaporates, you can see huge salt crystals.
Here is a cute cow I met on the road to Spiral Jetty!
I also got to see the “golden spike”. The “golden spike” is the ceremonial spike used to connect the first transcontinental railroad across the United States. This is the place where the railroad from the east coast finally connected to the railroad from the west coast!

I just got back from Cape Cod, Massachusetts for 4th of July! Here are some photos of me hunting for oysters in Wellfleet. They were delicious!
Don’t forget about the free tickets to Six Flags that you won for reading so much this year! Please keep me updated about your summer plans! I miss you guys!
After school on Wednesday I drove to Baltimore with Jared and we ate a giant pile of crabs! They were so good!

We got to see this school bus that was decorated with tiles and mirrors at the American Visionary Art Museum

Here is a bakery I went to that makes giant cakes! Some cakes cost $3,000! The bakery was called Charm City Cakes. I was not able to taste one, sadly.

I miss you guys already! What did you do on your first day of summer vacation?
